Children of MuarPosted by Justin (Singapore, Singapore) on 26 December 2007 in People & Portrait. There are children and there are children. These children belong to a small village in Malaysia and came out to peer at the strange tourists and probably do so whenever strange tourists pass by. There is a innate bonfire of curiosity and innocence within these children as with all children around the world that bring a smile to the face of most who pass by this quiet part of town. Being in relative isolation will probably help keep that fire burning for quite some time to come. I find it a contrast to the city where the children gain a sort of jaded blaséness with surprising ease at an age where they should be viewing anything and everything with a wild-eyed wonder that befits their form. Of course, they're not all like that in the city, it's just that they are more than there should be and that is a shame.
