Tree roots

This is what I would call a tree with personality.

It stands in the garden of a house that is in the middle of a palm oil plantation and it looks like it's been there since the beginning of that plantation.

I don't know if the residents find the tree as significant since they live with it day in and day out but I think the tree will definitely have stories to tell about them. It reminds of an old man with a toothless smile, willing to pass a tale to any who would listen and regale them he would of the many small happenings in that little settlement.

Tales of births and celebrations, of minor mishaps or even tragedies. I think it would have stories to tell indeed.
