Guard Dog

Posted by Justin (Singapore, Singapore) on 19 June 2007 in Cityscape & Urban.

This was taken in front of a cosmetic store in Holland Village. The dog in the picture was a long time resident of Holland Village and could be found wandering around the whole area. It didn't belong to anyone but it belonged to everyone.

It was getting on in years when I took this picture. It would toddle along for a distance and then it would then just plop itself down panting and rest and then it would continue on its way, repeating this process until it reached wherever it was going.

It was pretty docile and I believe that it had a name but I can't remember it for the life of me. There was even an obituary posted in the papers after it was gone. The place just doesn't seem the same without it.

But we learn to move on and accept eventually.
