Trapped

Children can be almost obsessive when it comes to play, boys especially. They will take an activity as far as they can to its logical conclusion. Maybe it's because they have no concept of being limited, that everything seems possible to them. Sometimes I think that an adult is a child whose possibilities have been replaced with fear.

I found these two at play in the Singapore Art Museum, one trying to gather as many cables as possible to surround the other. The cables all had magnets at both ends and you could stick them to the metallic wall any way you liked. It was one of those interactive displays that museums put up to make themselves more interesting to the masses.

I can imagine after gathering all the cables that they could find, the boy trapped against the wall would break out in a hulk-like fashion convinced of his own invincibility to handle anything to hold him down.
